It’s been a difficult year for high school seniors: going to school online, dealing with the cancellation of sports and activities, and not being able to see friends are just some of the challenges they have faced.  But, as the school year winds to a close and seniors prepare to graduate, it’s time to celebrate their accomplishments.

Despite the unusual circumstances and surprising outcomes of this year’s application season, Discovery College Consulting’s Class of 2021 fared very well.  Our 18 students were accepted to 80 different colleges, which are pictured to the right (click the image to enlarge it).  They will be attending the following schools:

  • Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH)
  • Chapman University (Orange, CA)
  • Colorado State University
  • Cornell College (Mt. Vernon, IA)
  • Georgetown University (Washington, DC)
  • Gonzaga University (Spokane, WA)
  • Indiana University, Bloomington
  • Pitzer College (Claremont, CA)
  • Union College (Schenectady, NY)
  • University of Arizona
  • University of California, Santa Barbara
  • University of California, Los Angeles
  • University of Miami (FL)
  • University of Portland (OR)
  • University of Rochester (NY)
  • University of Southern California
  • Ursinus College (Collegeville, PA)

These students also were awarded an impressive number of scholarships.  All 18 students received merit scholarships from colleges, and two were offered full-tuition scholarships.  In total, the Class of 2021 received $1,912,726 in scholarships for their first year of college.  All of the scholarships awarded are renewable for up to four years, so that’s $7,650,904 over four years!  (Because each student can only attend one school, much of this money will go unused.)

Congratulations, seniors!
